BosveldTrap 2022

“Heaven is a place on earth”, may have been on the minds of many cyclers the weekend of 19-21 March 2022 when they visited Zwartkloof Private Game Lodge in the Waterberge.

Tydens die Eleos Bosveld Trap, is daar letterlik getrap dat die stof so staan! ‘n Paar nerwe het agtergebly op Zwartkloof se klippe, en daar is selfs ‘n paar plase gekoop. Party van die trappers wou sommer nesskrop in die bosveld en het kom navraag doen oor die erwe wat hul in besit wil neem. Van berge en dale is daar meer as genoeg.

Just as the earth is not only a flat surface and a smooth ride, life has its ups and downs too. Going up a mountain has so many analogies to our daily lives and is often compared to the challenges we face: slip-sliding the slopes, or face-planting in the valleys. Many times, mountains seem like insurmountable obstacles – we are either on the way to the top, or they may stand in front of us, blocking our way to our destination. Mountains may rise and raise questions.

Psalm 121: 1-2: “Ek slaan my oë op na die berge: waarvandaan sal daar vir my hulp kom? My hulp kom van die Here wat hemel en aarde gemaak het.”

Recognise that the top of the mountain can only be reached one step at a time. It is challenging and often difficult, but when we reach the top and embrace the view from above, it will give us perspective to be positive when we are down in the valleys of despair.

Sondag-aand is die naweek op ‘n hoë noot afgesluit toe ‘n klompie waaghalsiges luidkeels saam met Jo Black “Voel jy die genade” gesing het. Die vreugde-vure het tot laataand bly brand terwyl geesdriftige fietsryers hul wedervaringe met mekaar deel.

Hier, by Zwartkloof Private Game Lodge, het Eleos ‘n nuwe tradisie begin!  Sien julle DAAR…volgende jaar!

Annalie van der Linde

Ons verwelkom ‘n nuwe gesig by Eleos. Annalie van der Linde is aangestel as Eleos se nuwe Bemarkingsbestuurder. Annalie is ‘n dienaar met ‘n groot hart en ‘n breë glimlag wat daarna streef om hoop te bring in mense se harte. Dis haar begeerte om sterre te sien skyn in ander se oë deur SY Lig te laat skyn. Sy is ‘n ma van twee sportiewe bulle wat sy haar ‘seëns’ noem en het ook ‘n vrouebediening – Anatello, wat ‘rise’ beteken.

For 18 years, Annalie managed and marketed her own Playball franchise and represented the KidinMe-Coorporation as their Relationship Manager. Here, she made a difference in many peoples’ lives.

Met haar positiewe gesindheid gaan Annalie beslis die opheffingswerk by Eleos terdeë geniet. Sy nooi elkeen om hande te vat, deel te raak van die Eleos-projekte, en sê:
“Saam laat ons dit werk!”
