| Eleos pak die nuwe kwartaal aan met nuwe hoop en entoesiasme. Met Paasfees wat nog warm klop in ons harte, glo ek dat die meeste van ons steeds verbysterd staan oor die genade van die Vader – die grootste gawe wat iemand ooit kon gee. Ons staan in verwondering oor hierdie genade – GENADE IN AKSIE! Met deurboorde hande, het Jesus, uit onvoorwaardelike liefde en gehoorsaamheid aan Sy Vader, vir ons kom gee wat Hy in Sy hand gehad het – VERLOSSING – die grootste geskenk wat daar ooit was en sal wees. Jy is geskep vir Nuwe Lewe! In Johannes 10:10 sê Jesus: “Ek het gekom sodat hulle lewe kan hê, en dit in oorvloed.” Die Here se plan vir jou is nie net oorlewing nie, maar oorVLOED – ‘n lewe gevul met doel, hoop en herstel. Tog soek ons soms buite onsself na hierdie nuwe lewe, terwyl dit reeds binne ons geplant is. NUWE LEWE begin nie altyd met groot gebeure nie, maar met eenvoudige, getroue dade – klein stukkies lewe wat ons saai elke dag: jou TIEN MINUTE se LUISTER is lewe jou AANRAAK jou OPNEMENDE HART, jou SAGTE WOORD – dis lewe. Wanneer jy iemand HELP wat in nood is, iemand TROOS wat hartseer is, of jou FINANSIES deel, is jy besig om nuwe lewe te gee. So ook, elke BOODSKAP en EPOS wat jy stuur, of OPROEP wat jy maak – is jy besig om nuwe lewe te saai. ELEOS IS DANKBAAR! ELEOS WAARDEER JOU! Mag daar ‘n WONDERWERK-OES vir jou wees, GENADIGE GAWEGEWER – 30-voudig… 60-voudig… 100-voudig! |

STREETSHOWER
| On Saturday, the 8th of March 2025, Eleos took hands with Basileia Patria and hosted a StreetShower on the premises of the Hervormde Kerk Daspoort. Each guest arrived with an appetite and did not walk away unsatisfied. StreetShower is a mobile shower and serving station for the homeless, the widow, the orphan, the rejected. The aim is to restore dignity with love to those who are in desperate need of hope, restoration and love. This year, 150 volunteers arrived at 5am to be the hands and feet of Jesus where it is so much needed. It is an eye-opener to see how the homeless guests appreciate a warm shower, a warm meal and being treated with warmth – things taken for granted many times. Interviews with some of our guests and volunteers at our StreetShower, confirmed that God blesses obedience. It’s a privilege to share a few testimonies. A guest: *Gerhard’s street life took a turn for the better after our previous StreetShower a year ago. He took the CV (created at the StreetShower), found a job and is currently still employed by the same company. Not only did he come back this year to testify about God’s grace, goodness and mercy, but he brought a new friend, hoping that his life will also be transformed. A guest: *Sipho arrived with dreadlocks at the previous StreetShower in September 2023. That day, on his request, a volunteer gave him a clean cut. *Sipho came back this year to testify. This is what he had to say: “When I came in here last time, I have lost all hope. The man said to me that God wants more for me. They wrote me a CV and I got a very nice job. My life is back again. I am born again. Now, I have a nice house. I am not sleeping at the street anymore. I have everything that I want. It’s only about Jesus.” A volunteer – Charmaine Dankie dankie vir wat wat jy, Andrew en Eleos doen vir die stukkende mensies😭😭🙏Ons prys die Here vir al die bydras🙌🙌🙌 Ek kan nie ophou huil oor die seer voete nie😪 A guest – Daleen Old Willem touched my heart deeply. It was his birthday, but he was too shy to even accept a hug. That same day, his friend from the streets was shot—no reason, no warning. Just gone. Willem looked at my mom and said softly, “Auntie, even though he was black, he was my friend.” His words broke something in us. At the Street Shower, he was hesitant. He didn’t want his feet washed—because no one had ever treated him with such kindness before. At the table, he wouldn’t sit down. He was too ashamed to eat in front of others. Too used to rejection. Too unfamiliar with gentleness. Each year, we have testimonies about lives being changed – the lives of our guests, as well as the lives of our volunteers. Serving those who can’t do anything for you, sowing Seed into their lives, is one of the best things you can do – it is a lifechanging experience. We believe that a hunger was stirred up in each soul again this year – a hunger to feed upon the Word of God. |

| ‘n Reis wat elkeen van julle vir seker moet aanpak, is die bywoning van een van ons Koekeloer-toere. ‘n Besoek aan ons verskillende projekte, bring ‘n verskil in jou hart. In so mate, dat mens nie anders kan as om ‘n verskil te WIL maak nie. Die suksesstories wat voortvloei uit Eleos se onderskeie projekte, is een van die groot redes waarom Eleos vir jare kon kop bo water hou. Eleos groei, aangesien ons groot missie is om vissers van mense te maak. Hier word ook nie net vis uitgedeel nie; hier word elkeen geleer om self vis te vang. Kom kyk self!
